Coronavirus Update

Relatives, friends, and family

During these unprecedented times, the health and welfare of our residents and staff remains our highest priority and we thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Following the recent Welsh Government's confirmation that the 17-day firebreak lockdown will end Monday, November 9th, we are proposing to open outdoor visiting from 09.11.20 to enable persons to reconnect again.

Please find guidance on visiting safely which we will update as necessary as and when PHW advice is changed. As these visits will take place in the garden areas at the present time it may be necessary for a planned visit to be cancelled at the last minute due to inclement weather and we would ask for your understanding with this matter. Management are exploring plans to facilitate indoor visits to our premises as and when guidance allows. These arrangements must be suitably safe for visitors, our staff and our residents so we thank you for your patience.

What you need to know before your visit:

  • Visits will take place by appointment only. To book a visiting slot, please contact the relevant homes administration office who will assist you in your booking. Contact details can be found under the 'our homes' tab of this website.
  • Visits will take place in the outside area of the home.
  • 30-minute visitation slots twice a week per patient will be offered to ensure that all residents have an opportunity to connect with their loved ones.
  • No more than two visitors from one household will be allowed.
  • Visitors will be asked to use the hand gel provided before the visit begins.
  • Visitors must maintain a 2-metre distance from their relative, staff members and fellow residents.
  • Visitors will be provided with a mask at the start of their visit and are required to wear this if the 2-metre distance is unmaintainable at any time throughout their visit.
  • Please be aware that visitors are not permitted to use our indoor facilities i.e. toilets at the present time.
  • Video calls, as well as traditional voice calls continue to be facilitated as an alternative and addition to face to face visiting.

Visitors must not visit if:

  • They or a member of their (extended) household have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days or if they still have symptoms.
  • They or a member of their (extended) household have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (including cough, cold and flu like symptoms and/or loss of smell or taste) or have been in contact with anyone with such symptoms.
  • They have been identified as a contact of a positive case under the Test, Trace and Protect Strategy and are required to self-isolate.
  • They have returned from overseas travel in the last 14 days.
  • They live in an area of the UK where enhanced restrictions to activities and movements are in place.

  • We would like to thank you for your continued support and adherence to our visitor's policy.
